Homecoming For Cottonwood High School

James and Jessica's first Homecoming together... Cottonwood played against West H.S. for their Homecoming... It was a another Shut out 40-0. Thursday James had a sophomore game...The coaches have him play with the sophomores because it gives James and Danny (#99) more practice for Friday nights games.... James enjoyed dinner with his grandpa, grandma,aunt and cousins afterwards I took him back to the high school so he could watch the "POWDER PUFF" game and the lighting of the "C"...Friday night was the Varsity Homecoming game- again 40-0- Saturday night was the Homecoming dance... James took his long time friend "Jessica" she is an awesome girl... They went to dinner with another couple-the dance- and then the night had to end... dang CURFEWS!!!

Size and Pride

My parents drove up from St.George Utah...My dad wanted to watch all his grandsons play some football and my mom wanted to shop....but mom went to James' football game and really enjoyed it... she wasn't to sure about the positions and the plays but she saw how cool it was to see James Tackle the QB 5 times...My sister came with her kids and afterwards we all went for pizza... My dad asked me if I could print these pictures out for him... so when they went back home he could brag about his grandson's size!!!!

"Remicade"

My home away from home... I wanted to blog these two pictures of my treatment... Every 6 weeks I have an IV treatment called "Remicade" It's a long process... I visit the Huntsman cancer were the nurses know everything about my family and myself... It's so nice to still have people that care about others...It take about an hour for the pharmacy to send my medication up... The treatment begins..The medication is somewhat uncomfortable and it at times can make you feel nausea..But the up-side is peace and quite-lunch and day time t.v.
let's hope my body is able to sustain the medication because I am running out of options...

First Football injury...

During a pre-season practice James learned a lesson... Tall guys need to stay low....
James was hit by the "All American" John Martinez... a very large Polynesian... boy he was in allot of pain... I was called at work because they needed to transport James to the hospital.. End result a bruised lung with air pockets behind it and his pride... now James wears a full body pad for protection and stays "LOW"!!!

Jack

I thought this was pretty funny... So everyone knows how much I love my other kids Jack and Moose... Well I gave them a bath on Friday and Moose really doesn't care to much for the water...but Jack would not get out of the tub... So I let him lay there with the water falling on him...

Nya and Demetrious

The bike Nya is on is the same bike Matt had for James when he was Nya's age..Matt would take James everywhere with him... but James was Matt's sidekick when he would ride his mountain bike..


Demetrious took a chance riding it and I don't think he was able to keep it steady for the both of them....Uncle Matt makes such great memories for all the kids... Everyone should have an Uncle like Matt...!!!!

Demetrious played a great game.s .. He almost had a awesome tackle... Even though the colts lost they still played a good game... Demetrious is #24

Cottonwood vs Murray Highh School 9/12

Friday nights game was a "BLOW OUT"...Cottonwood killed Murray..James played a pretty good game... He wasn't able to tackle the QB but he was able to recover a fumble....James was at the bottom of the pile...

Pioneer Day

Utah celebrates what they call Pioneer Day... It's a day of celebration for the Mormon Pioneers... It is a big deal here..in fact it is a State Holiday..So for the last few year our family celebrates it too... We meet my brother's and their family's and my sister and her family-cousins and friends... We have a picnic and hang out till it is dark-watch the fire works and eat allot of junk...It's great...The kids love it to because they take off and hang out with their friends and cousins..!!

The famous Bear Lake Campout...

I am posting quit a bit...I'm trying to catch up so I can move forward weekly with new post... Amber and I took the kids camping... It was the first for all the kids...and it was defiantly a challenge for Amber and I ... John also went but I think it was more to entertain himself off Amber and myself... We battled the wind-cold-and uncomfortable sleeping arrangements... But we managed to pull through and have a "BLAST" ... Our camp leader Amber showed us how to start a fire with two rocks and a few sticks.. but I had to step in and do it the CALLAHAN way...liter fluid and matches... Boy did we have the best s'mores... I can't wait till next year...

Demetrious and the CottonWood Jr. Colts

Demetious plays for Cottonwood's Jr. Colts... I love watching Demetrious play because he is very "SLY"... Last week he almost tackled the QB twice... It was "AWESOME"... I think Demetrious likes to play football but he is pretty funny off the field he will sit on the side line and try to read his book... Friday night's while Big James and I are screaming our heads off Demetrious has his nose in a good book... I think it's the funniest thing... On the field he is a great player but once he steps off the field he turns right into a book worm...
